Report! Annual
Show Another fine day saw bumper entries at the FHS Annual Show on Sunday 15th August. As before, it was lovely to have so many inexperienced riders choosing the FHS Show as an introduction to competition. The Judges were impressed with the high standard of all of the Competitors. Special mention goes to the Lead Rein and Beginners Gymkhana events where ponies, riders and helpers alike had a very enjoyable hour. Report! Showing
Show Once again FHS Showing Show was well supported and it was an enjoyable day for both Competitors and Spectators alike. It was good to know that Felsted’s reputation for helping novice riders has spread with so many choosing this as their first show. There was, of course, the usual high standard of experienced competitors too. Thank you to all the Judges, Stewards and helpers without whom we could not run such a successful show. Fun Jumping Show - 7th November 2009 It was a pleasure to see so many young riders coming to Norton Heath for the Fun Show Jumping Show. Well done to those of you who were competing for the first time. Treasure that rosette for it will be the first of many as you progress over the jumps! Unfortunately the more demanding classes were not so well attended but this did not stop a high standard of competition and enjoyment for all concerned. Show Felsted
Horse Society’s Annual Show on Sunday 16th August at
Sunnybrook Farm, Felsted surpassed all expectations. With over 250
competitors and many spectators the Showground was busy throughout the
day. Competitors
in the Show Jumping ring enjoyed some challenging courses, the show horses
and ponies maintained their high standard and it was good to see the
Mountain and Moorland classes well supported. One highlight was the 24
strong Lead Rein Gymkhana which was enjoyed by riders and leaders alike. Our thanks
go to all Competitors, Judges, Stewards and Helpers for their patience and
consideration as, with so many entries, some classes ran somewhat longer
than anticipated. FHS is
continuing to cater for all ages and abilities and there are plans for

Show 150 Competitors enjoyed
the day at FHS’s Showing Show on Sunday 19th July. As well as the usual
classes for both horses and ponies, this year we hosted the Veteran Horse
Society and the Thoroughbred and Retired Racehorse Association Qualifiers.
It was lovely to see the
older horses and ponies being shown and the TARRA classes were enjoyed by
spectators and competitors alike. We will include both these qualifiers in
next year’s show. Thanks go to all our
Judges, Stewards and Helpers for their assistance in making such a
